My name is Veronica Vallentine.
Some call me ma or Vee. My passions are writing, baking and traveling. I am on an adventure in my life and I would like for you to see some of it. As a single mother of three children, I worked a factory job for 20 plus years and writing was something i never had time for.
Iv’e always wanted to travel but i knew that wasn’t going to happen either. Sometimes i worked 28 days straight and i only got 2 days off a month. Eventually, things got better and i began to get every other weekend off. But don’t get me wrong, it was a blessing to get this job because i was able to provide for my family. But now that my children are grown and doing there own things I decided to retire. It was time to let go! I still wasn’t sure about what I was going to do, but i still had my passions. Since iv’e retired In November, I have been to a few different states in less than a few months. Recently, I’ve started my own business where traveling is a big part of it. I went to Arizona with my oldest daughter and her husband.
After that I spent Christmas in California for the first time and visited my other daughter and now writing is something i have time to do.
This is a new chapter in my life that gets a little scary at times but it so exciting because there are so many things I’m going learn. For instance, I don’t know that much about computers and I Know I will have to take a computer class to feel more confident so that I won’t have to continuously ask for help from others. It takes a while for things to soak in for me. Things are so different when you step out into the world again and so far, the people i have been around are so positive, understanding and fun.
There goals are the same as mine! I have been blessed to be around so many people of all ages. My journey is on a new chapter and I hope that you will walk with me. This is a time for me to learn all of the things i didn’t have time for and to travel.
It is truly a dream come true to be doing all of the things that I want to do, with my family.
This is so touching.
